"Long Live the King"
Our president thought it would be funny to try and provoke his adversaries by claiming to be king. While beneath the office he holds, this juvenile attempt at humor might be amusing if his Congressmen and Senators bowed down to him when he entered a room instead of metaphorically bowing down to him when they vote.
While this president makes a habit of saying hilarious things like "They're eating the cats" and "Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again." he doesn't have a history of saying things widely accepted as funny.
He should stay in his lane of promoting himself as a successful businessman who has been very successful at duping others into believing in his success despite his many failures in business. Since his greatest strength is his ability to persuade his supporters into thinking failure is a success.
Perhaps instead of King, we should call him Emperor, who, like Marcus the Third, convinced his subjects to laud his invisible clothes.
